What are you rooted in?  What takes up your time, what are you invested in?

My hope and prayer is that we are people who are invested in each other, and encouraging each other on our faith journeys. The truth is there are times in life where we struggle to continue to be rooted, life gets in the way, another problem comes along, another issue to solve, sometimes we become so invested in those things around us, so invested in busyness that we forget to continue our search, our growth with God who has “it” all in His hands, including our lives.

As Colossians 3:15-17 says, “

15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”

As we begin this new series, this is our challenge, this is our pursuit as we discuss what this means, and steps to accomplish what we as Christians are being challenged to do.

My hope and prayer through this series is that we begin to or continue to put Christ at the center of our lives in the midst of life. That our lives are full of Christ in what we do and say, and as we continue to learn and grow through all of the things that come along and want to take us away from the One we need every single day.

I hope you begin to challenge your own lives with this passage, each day seeking what God has in store for you that day, as you continue your own pursuit of living a life centered in Christ.
